Nancy Landry elected State Representative.

Nancy Landry was elected State Representative for District 31 on November
4, 2008.  According to complete returns, Nancy received 62.2% of the vote.

Nancy's campaign focused on her work since the last election in support of
ethics reform, dedicated road funding, cutting business taxes and high-tech
job training to grow the area economy.

Nancy's campaign also highlighted her support for Governor Jindal's reform
agenda, and her ongoing commitment to reform of state government.

She is taking time after the election to spend  some time with her  boys,
making arrangements for  her  small businesses, and preparing to take
office.

Nancy is looking  forward to learning her committee assignments from
House Speaker Jim Tucker which will allow her to  plan her  legislative
priorities and work schedule.

Nancy is grateful to the voters of the 31st District for their  confidence  in her.  
She is also grateful for the hundreds of area individuals and businesses
that supported her campaigns financially, and all the people  who  
volunteered to help her bring her message of leadership and reform to the
voters of  the District.
